The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, January 8 reveals Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will give Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) some unwanted advice.
Also coming up, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will meet Damian King (Nathan Owens). Plus, Devon Winters (Bryton James) will get pushback from Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).
Y&R spoilers tease Devon will have dinner with Lily and Abby at Society and they’ll strategize. He’ll say Nate should be wrapping things up soon in LA. But he may be returning home with a new brother and a new employee at Winters Inc.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Damian Wants To Know What It’s All About
He’ll tell them the plan is Nate’s going to offer his half-brother a job at Winters. But Lily and Abby won’t think it’s a good idea. “I know you don’t want us jumping to conclusions,” Lily will say. “But this Amy woman had this whole story for Nate and has just been snowballing from there.”
Abby will agree they should keep their guard up. “Luring him in with this job offer is not the best move,” she’ll say. But Devon thinks they should give it a shot and then see how it all plays out. Although later, he’ll admit to Abby that he’s worried about Nate.
In LA, Nate will tell Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) he’s left several messages for his brother, offering him a job. But he hasn’t heard a thing from him. He’ll add he really wants to see Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) reunite with her son.
Then he’ll get a notification on his phone. “It’s from Damian,” he’ll tell Audra. He wants to meet, so Nate will send him his location. Amy will show up and she’ll be overjoyed to hear that her son has agreed to meet him.
She and Audra will make themselves scarce and shortly after, Damian will show up and introduce himself to Nate. He’ll say he’s had five jobs in the last year. So, he can’t see how he’d be an ideal candidate for Winters. “Why don’t we cut to the chase Mr. Hastings, what is this meeting really about?”
Meanwhile, Billy will run into Chelsea at Crimson Lights. She’ll say hello and try to leave. But Billy will say they’re going to run into each other. “Can’t we find a way to get past this awkward, uncomfortable stage?” he’ll ask.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Lily Says She’ll Be Cheering On Billy
So, they’ll sit down together and Billy will bring up his plans to get back on top in the business world. Chelsea will ask if what happened between them is part of his need for revenge. “As far as our relationship, I have moved on and I’ve let it go,” he’ll reply. He’s now focused on righting the wrong inflicted by his mother and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
So, Chelsea will tell him she’s sure his mom thought long and hard about her decision. She thinks he should try to look at things from Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) perspective. Chelsea will say maybe he and his mom can come to a mutual understanding. “It can be a chance to learn something about yourself.”
Billy will ask her if she thinks he should blame himself for what happened at Chancellor. Chelsea will say no, she’s just suggesting he should reach out to Jill. “There is no coming back from this, not this time,” he’ll say. “I’m not interested in repairing my relationship with my mother.”
Finally, after Chelsea leaves, Lily will show up and Billy will try to rope her into his revenge plot. “Think about what a triumph it would be if we were back on top,” he’ll say. But Lily will tell him she’s working with her family and she’s happy.
“We have to move on, from Chancellor, it is time to let it go,” she’ll add. However, when Billy tells her he’s not giving up, Lily will admit she’ll be cheering him on. “I really hope that you come out on top.” But will he?
